Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Statemio (https://statemio.com), operated by Jack Keyser, sole proprietor dba Statemio, doing business as Statemio ("we", "us"). By using the service you agree to them.
1. The service
Statemio converts PDF bank and credit card statements into spreadsheet and accounting-import files. Conversion is automated and may contain errors. We show a balance check for each statement, but you are responsible for reviewing the output before relying on it for accounting, tax, lending or any other purpose. The service is not accounting, tax, legal or financial advice.
2. Your content
Only upload statements you are entitled to process (your own, or your clients' with their authorization). You keep all rights to your content. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process it and deliver the results. Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy.
3. Accounts
You need a valid email address to create an account. Keep access to your email secure: anyone with access to it can sign in. One person per account unless your plan includes seats.
4. Free tier, page packs and subscriptions
- The free tier allows 5 pages per day and may change.
- Page packs are one-time purchases. Pack pages do not expire while the service operates and are non-transferable.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. Cancel any time; access continues to the end of the paid period. Unused monthly pages do not roll over.
- Pages from statements that fail the balance check are not counted.
- Payments are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record, which is the seller of record for your purchase and applies its own buyer terms. Prices exclude taxes that Polar may add.
- Refunds: [unused page packs within 14 days of purchase; subscriptions not refunded for partial periods, except where the law requires it]. Request refunds via support@statemio.com.
5. Acceptable use
Do not upload documents you aren't authorized to process, forged or altered statements, or malware. Don't attempt to overload, probe or bypass usage limits, or use the service to create fraudulent documents. Automated access is allowed only through the documented API within your allowance. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Availability and changes
We aim for the service to be available but do not guarantee uptime. We may change features or prices with notice for paid plans. We may discontinue the service with at least 30 days' notice to paying users, and will refund unused pack pages pro rata if we do.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM [OR USD 50 IF GREATER], AND WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR ERRORS IN BOOKS OR FILINGS.
9. Trademarks
Bank, card issuer and software names (for example Chase, American Express, QuickBooks, Xero, Quicken) belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, and disputes go to the state and federal courts located in [COUNTY], Florida, except where your local consumer law gives you other rights.
